Company Overview
Objective
To develop, lease and manage high quality neighborhood and strip retail projects primarily in the South San Francisco Bay Area.
Mission Statement
To be a well run, respected, successful development company, operating primarily in Santa Clara County, with a major emphasis on retail projects; to aggressively seek development and investment opportunities; to create projects that benefit communities; and to foster strong relationships within the financial and brokerage communities.
History
Don Imwalle and several Grubb and Ellis alumni formed Retail Commercial Properties in 1975 to lease and develop shopping centers. In 1985, Imwalle Stegner was formed to concentrate exclusively on retail developments which continued through 2005. In 2006, Don Imwalle Jr joined to form Imwalle Properties where successful retail development, leasing and management continue.
What's next?
More of the same. Stick to what we know and do the best: high quality, small scale South Bay retail. As the landscape evolves, we remain focused on adapting our retail development expertise to the best locations available in the most suitable form be that new construction of single story retail, adaptive reuse of the existing structure, or the retail component of a mixed use project.
Owners
Our experience enables us to evaluate and execute opportunities quickly. While we prefer to purchase fee simple, we have done ground leases and joint ventures.
Investors
We can't do all the best deals alone, together we can do more.
