Jim Mair
More Information Jim Mair is the president, chief executive officer and founder of South Bay Development Company. Having led the company through the development of over 25 million square feet of industrial, office, retail and R&D space since its inception in 1978, Mr. Mair has created one of the most successful commercial real estate ventures in Northern California. He formulated the company’s ideals around the Silicon Valley market and a flexible and extensive inventory, creating a unique approach that sets South Bay apart from and ahead of the competition. Mr. Mair oversees the overall strategy and management of the company and its components. He participates with many industry associations as well as community and charitable organizations. Mr. Mair holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Santa Clara University. |

George M. Marcus
More Information George M. Marcus is the founder of Marcus & Millichap Company and its chairman since 1971. Marcus & Millichap Company is the parent company of a diversified group of real estate, service, investment and development firms. Mr. Marcus is also chairman of Essex Property Trust (a publicly held multi-family real estate investment trust). Mr. Marcus was one of the original founders and directors of Plaza Commerce Bank and Greater Bay Bancorp, both publicly held financial institutions. Mr. Marcus continues to serve on the board of directors of Greater Bay Bancorp. Included among Mr. Marcus' professional memberships are the Board of Regents of The University of California, the Apartment Industry Foundation, in which he currently serves on the board of directors, the Real Estate Roundtable and the Policy Advisory Board of the University of California at Berkeley - Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from San Francisco State University in 1965; he was honored as Alumnus of the Year in 1989. Mr. Marcus is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School of Owners/Presidents Management Program and the Georgetown University Leadership Program. |

Ken Rodrigues
Mr. Rodrigues is the founder and president of Kenneth Rodrigues & Partners, Inc. and is responsible for the firm’s design and business development activities. He has directed the design of many of the firm’s most intricate projects and has managed complex commissions through all phases of the design process, from initial concepts and public approvals through construction administration. Mr. Rodrigues has designed many notable projects and is currently master planning the $750 million Sunnyvale Town Center a new mixed use regional project in downtown Sunnyvale, California. He has also designed the award winning United Artist Pavilion Theatres and the renovation of the De Anza Hotel, which has become a centerpiece of the redevelopment effort in downtown San Jose. In addition to his professional design career, Mr. Rodrigues has served on many civic and governmental committees charges with planning and design review, along with various awards and lecture organizations. He also served as President of the American Institute of Architects, California Council. |

Rick Shaffer
More Information Rick Shaffer rejoined CB Richard Ellis in 2007 as a Senior Vice President specializing in retail leasing and investments within the Silicon Valley. Rick brings with him 26 years of experience in commercial real estate, as a sales professional/developer of retail properties. At his previous development firm, Rick was responsible for all of the development process including site acquisition, entitlements, city processing, construction management, lease negotiations, property management and disposition of excess property. In Rick’s 14 years working in development, he was involved with the acquisition and disposition of over 50 retail projects. Rick has consistently ranked among the top brokers in the Silicon Valley. Prior to his development experience, Rick worked at CB Commercial for four years where he received Top 5 honors three times and was companywide rookie of the year in 1993. Mr. Shaffer is a member of the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers, ICSC and sits on the Admissions Advisory Committee. |

Charles K. Stegner
Charles K. Stegner was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated with a degree in Business Finance from California State of University at Fullerton. He is married with a 21-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son. He attended Naval Flight Officers School at Pensacola, Florida and was a flight officer/navigator for three years. He has spent over 25 years in the commercial real estate field, and is active with the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Association of South Bay Brokers. Chuck has served on the Board of Directors of Sacred Heart Community Services and Arch Bishop Mitty High School, and is a member of the San Jose Athletic Club. |
